Make Snug Harbor Your Fall Getaway
Check out the fall colors on our many area hiking trails. With the onset of fall in the Northwoods comes shorter days, cooler temperatures, brilliant fall colors, and tremendous hunting and fishing opportunities. Over the years, Snug Harbor Resort has developed a great reputation as the place to stay when you want to enjoy the fall colors or try your hand at some world-class fall hunting and fishing.

For the fall color enthusiast, our maple, birch and oak usually start to change colors in early to mid-September and tend to peak in color around the first week in October.

Snug Harbor Resort Owner Al Furman and his son A.J. are avid duck hunters. In the fall, walleye, northern, crappie and perch are gorging themselves on just about whatever they can find in preparation for the long winter ahead. They are more likely to be in large schools at this time more than any other time of the year.  They are also more aggressive at this time of year which makes fighting them that much more fun.

Itasca County is widely known for it's tremendous fall hunting opportunities. Whether you seek small game, big game, migratory birds or furbearers, we have a hunting adventure just waiting for you this fall.

Deer Hunters are nearly guaranteed a successful hunt at Snug Harbor Resort.
